PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A Worth woman is accused of attacking a nurse at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. Vyasiah Lane, 27, is facing two felony charges of aggravated battery.

Palos Heights police responded to the hospital on Wednesday for a report of a patent attacking a nurse. While at the hospital, officers learned that the patient, Lane, had been transported by a neighboring jurisdiction to receive medical treatment.

Lane is said to have grabbed the nurse around the neck. The nurse was treated for non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover, police said.
