​Patricia R. Nicosia (Nee Greenhill)

Patricia R. Nicosia, 89, passed away peacefully in her St. Francis of Assisi Residence Home surrounded by her adoring family and friends on December 27, 2023. Patricia was born on December 31, 1933, to Parents Margaret (Huck) and Archibald in the city of Chicago. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School for Girl’s class of 1951.

Patricia and her husband Anthony were married for 67 years and have 4 children: Michele Vendetti, Michael (Debra), Anthony (Karen) and Nicole McGowen (Steven). Proud grandmother to Quinn Parsons, Danielle Merlot, McKenna McGowen, Kevin McGowen, Maggie Nicosia, and Michael Nicosia. Great grandmother to Adeline, Michael, Thomas, Daniel, Bannon, and Eily. Godmother to Rene Rusco.

Patricia will always be remembered as a great mother, devoted wife, for her humor and love to be around family and friends. She was a fighter who survived four cancers with grace, had a deep faith in the Catholic religion, an avid reader and loved sweets! She was a second Mother “Mrs. Nic” to many friends and family and loved to feed the neighborhood. She had a beloved dog Kita and fed stray cats.

Celebration of Life Wednesday, January 10th at Saint Gerald Catholic Church, 9310 South 55th Court, Oak Lawn, 10:00 a.m.

Inurnment will be private.

Arrangements were entrusted to the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, Palos Heights.
