Pit Bull Abandoned on Palos Park Street: Cops

Did they even slow down?

A pit bull is safe Monday evening, despite being kicked out of a car along a Palos Park roadway.

Palos Park police were called to 123rd and Post Road for a report of an abandoned dog. A resident found the dog, which is believed to have been abandoned by someone in a white, four-door sedan will Illinois plates containing three letters and the three numbers 786.

The dog was taken to the Chicago Ridge Animal Welfare League.

Police would like to remind residents that dumping a dog is a crime and a criminal investigation is underway.
