Over 50 Tween And Teen Pop-Ups Featured At Youth Entrepreneur Fair Hosted By MVCC

PALOS HILLS, IL — Right now, across the southwest suburbs, kids are painting, gluing, knitting, sewing, crafting, stringing beads, making chocolate bombs, and cooking lip balm on the kitchen stove to sell at the third annual Youth Entrepreneur Fair set for Saturday, Feb. 7.

Browse dozens of booths from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Business and Conference Center in Building M at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W College Parkway, Palos Hills.

Kids ages 6 through 14 will display their unique products and services, ranging from edible fruit art, jewelry, lip balms, candles, paintings and slimes. The young entrepreneurs will pitch their products and services while learning the lessons and social skills needed to run a successful business.

The event is being organized by Pet City, the Arab American Business And Professional Association, NextGen Business Leaders Club MVCC and the Acton School of Business. The top businesses will be judged on business potential, innovative ideas, most impressive presentation, and all-around excellence.

Elementary and middle school students from southwest suburban school districts developed a brand, created products and services, and designed a marketing strategy for the one-day fair. Fifty booths are featured, including:
