Professor Julian P. Glomb Visitation & Funeral
Longtime Professor at Moraine Valley Community College

Julian Philip Glomb of Palos Heights, IL. Born in Chicago, IL on April 12, 1941, Julian passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Julian is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Catherine and his five treasured children, Juliet (Garrick) Collins, Theresa, Christina (Robert) Serdar, Julian, and Stephen. Julian was adored by his 7 grandchildren, Francesca, Andrew, Grace, Ava, Catherine, Garrick, and Rowan. He is survived by his brother William (Lorraine) Glomb as well as cherished nieces and nephews.
Julian was a professor of Philosophy, World Religions, and Humanities at Moraine Valley Community College, where he taught thousands of students over his 33 years. He was a talented musician, playing in Chicago jazz clubs and music venues before “retiring” to start a family. Throughout his life, he could be found playing the piano, sketching, writing poetry, reading, enjoying the beaches of Lake Michigan, and walking in the woods with his children and wife of 50 years.
Visitation Monday, May 13th from 3 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 14th from 12:00 p.m., Noon until time of chapel prayers 1:30 p.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 2:00 p.m.
