Explore Programs And Careers At Moraine Valley Public Service Showcase

Over 20 public service agencies will be available to discuss employment opportunities, Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Moraine Valley showcase.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Anyone who aspires to a career serving the community should attend the Public Service Showcase at Moraine Valley Community College, Thursday, Feb. 19. The showcase will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Moraine Rooms inside Building M on the Palos Hills campus, 9000 W. College Parkway. It is free and open to the public.

Attendees will learn about Moraine Valley’s Public Service programs, including: Criminal Justice, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Academy/Fire Service Operations, Paralegal Studies, Recreation Therapy, and Sport and Recreation Management.

They also can receive schedules and required class guidance as well as engage in educational panel sessions led by public service educators who will discuss career opportunities and programs and host a Q&A session.

Potential employers from public service organizations such as the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department, Illinois State Police, will be available to discuss career opportunities.

Representatives from other police departments, fire departments, local park districts, and fitness trainers will also be on hand to discuss career and employment opportunities.
