PALOS HILLS, IL — Thieves and burglars had a field day with unlocked vehicles, according to Palos Hills police reports.

Wallet Stolen At Car Wash

A vehicle owner came to the Palos Hills police station to report a stolen wallet on April 16.
According to reports, the owner took their vehicle for a wash. Later that day, they started getting notifications from their bank regarding possible fraudulent charges. The owner looked around and noticed that their wallet was missing.

Car Doors Ajar

The owners of a vehicle left the doors unlocked overnight April 16 in the 9700 block of 90th Avenue. The next day, they observed that car doors were ajar. Several items were missing, including a laptop computer.

Burglaries From Auto

In another instance of ajar car doors, two burglaries to auto were reported April 17 in the 11100 block of Theresa Court. Residents left driver side doors unlocked overnight. Much to their surprise they noticed the car doors ajar and several items missing
