Re-Elect Pamela Paris & Michael Pizur to your Palos 118 School Board
Palos School District 118 School Board Election

We are running for re-election to the Palos School District 118 Board of Education. Our board focuses on quality education. We need your help to keep the momentum going.
Together, we have 13 years of school board experience. We understand the roles of board members, including governance and setting the vision/goals for the school district. During our tenure, we’ve had tremendous success; 2022 National Blue Ribbon School, 2022 School Governance award, top 10% of schools in Illinois, and highest financial health. But, our proudest accomplishment was having schools open to in-person learning during the pandemic. We understood the value of in-person learning and we listened to our community’s desire to open district schools (local control). As a result, our kids are performing better, post-pandemic, than their peers across Illinois and the United States.
Secondly, we bring unique perspectives to the board room. Pam is a cosmetologist who is also heavily involved in other local community organizations; serving as Treasurer at both the Palos Park Police Foundation and SouthBridge Church (Orland Park). Meanwhile, Mike has nearly 20 years of private sector experience from the convenience hardware/home improvement industry (Ace Hardware, True Value, & Do it Best). It's important the school board have community members as well as educators.

We would be honored to continue serving this community as members of your Board of Education. We enjoy taking an active role in maintaining a strong school district. And we pledge to continue striving for the level of excellence that all stakeholders expect.
School Board Members are non-partisan positions. There are no political affiliations with us. Moreover, this role is purely voluntary (we are not compensated). At the end of the day, we serve kids and the taxpayers of the district.
