Reception Held to Celebrate Newly Appointed NPD117 Superintendent
Boardroom Filled with Supporters

The boardroom was filled Wednesday night with well-wishers eagerly waiting to celebrate Christine Droba for being named the next NPD117 superintendent. Mrs. Droba, who currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, was named the new superintendent last month to replace Dr. Jeannie Stachowiak, who is retiring June 30.
Mrs. Droba thanked everyone for their continued support and said she looks forward to continue working hard to maintain the district's status as one of the top-performing school districts around. Under Christine's leadership, NPD117 won its fourth National Blue Ribbon Award and continues to perform in the top 10 percent of schools in the State.
When Christine learned that the Board of Education had selected her as its new superintendent, she said, “I am honored to have been selected for this role. District 117 is a special place because the Board of Education promotes high expectations, staff members work hard to ensure that students are successful, and families are highly supportive. I could not be more excited to work with the Board of Education, staff, families, and community to ensure that North Palos continues to provide a high-quality education to all of our students.”
