Palos Hills police said the resident was in possession of their credit card when the bets were made to an online sports book.
PALOS HILLS, IL — A resident claimed there were unauthorized charges made to their credit card, Palos Hills reports said.
On March 13, officers went to the 10500 block of 82nd Avenue for a deceptive practice report. The resident told police they received an alert from their bank asking if they authorized a $1,000 transaction with an online sportsbook. The bank also advised that four other transactions were made or attempted at the same sports betting website.
Police said the resident was currently in possession of their credit card and had not placed any online bets.
