Resident Scammed Out Of $650 Trying To Buy Cat Online: Reports

PALOS HILLS, IL — A resident filed a deceptive practice complaint after being ripped off trying to buy a cat online, reports said.
According to a Palos Hills police report, officers spoke to the resident around 4 p.m. Jan. 27. The resident tried to purchase a cat online. Once the resident sent $650, the seller requested additional money for shipping and insurance. After researching the company, the resident realized it was a scam.
