Ridgeland Closed Due To Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle Accident
Ridgeland Avenue closed Thursday evening as Palos Heights police investigate pedestrian vs. vehicle accident.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Motorists are asked to stay away from Ridgeland Avenue in Palos Heights as police investigate a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. Police said a pedestrian was struck by a car around 8 p.m. Thursday. Ridgeland will be closed for an indefinite time between 127th and 135th Streets.
The pedestrian was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Conditions are unknown. An accident reconstruction team is on the scene, Palos Heights Police said.
