School, Community Closings: OL, EP, Palos, Orland, Alsip

Schools, libraries, park districts, churches and government agencies are calling off classes and operations for Wednesday, Jan. 30, as dangerously cold air move into the Chicago region, with wind chill temperatures as low as -55 below zero. A wind chill warning issued by the National Weather Service goes into effect Tuesday evening, Jan. 29, through noon Thursday, Jan. 31.

Unless noted, the following closures are in effect Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2019, for the Patch communities of Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park, Alsip-Crestwood, Palos, Orland Park and other nearby towns:
