The national search for the college’s sixth president began in February after current president Dr. Sylvia Jenkins announced her retirement, effective June 30 after serving 11 years in the role. The presidential search is conducted at the direction of the board of trustees with the support of the Pauly Group — an academic search consulting firm. Position duties, responsibilities and qualifications were developed in conjunction with the college’s executive leadership team, faculty, staff, administrators, students and supporters.

The Board of Trustees is expected to select a presidential candidate at its May 16 meeting. The college will publicly announce the successful candidate at a later date.
