In April, the Chicago Fire asked Shepard High School band director Christopher Pitlik if he'd have interest in a promotional campaign.
If Pitlik said yes, that would mean bringing the entire marching band to Toyota Park on a day off. The soccer team needed the band for a key scene of a video that would emulate "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
The band would form the centerpiece of the famed parade scene. This time, Chicago Fire player and reigning Major League Soccer MVP Mike Magee would play the role of Ferris.

The video, with other scenes in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto, also features New York Red Bulls star Thierry Henry and many other renowned MLS players, U.S. women's national team stars Hope Solo and Sydney LeRoux, and television star Judah Friendlander.
