Shepard culinary arts students to prep Southern comfort cuisine for Arts Extravaganza

Shepard High School culinary arts students -- champions at the "Ready Set Cook" competition at Kendall College Chicago and second place overall at the recent MVCC contest -- will prepare an exquisite vareity of Southern comfort food at the Arts Extravaganza on Saturday, April 26.

Both a fund raiser and a celebration of student talents in drama, speech, music, visual and the culinary arts, the event will run from 5 to 9 p.m.   Students from Eisenhower, Richards and Shepard high schools will share the spotlight in a wide varsity of arts.

Shepard serves as the host site this year.  The ticket price includes food.  Tickets are available at the door.  Tickets are $10 for adults 18 to 59 and $5 for students and senior citizens age 60 and older.
