Shepard speech team wins IHSA Regional
Five individual champions; team advances in 14 of 16 categories
The Shepard High School varsity speech team won first place last Saturday at the Illinois High School Association regional competition at Eisenhower High School.
The Astros delivered an astounding performance, winning five individual events and advancing to sectionals in 14 of the 16 categories. Those advancing include:
Champions - Humorous Interpretation, Emma Toomey; Impromptu Speaking, Veronica Jacobson; Original Comedy, Matt Randich; Original Oratory, Becca Ruger; Radio Speaking, Kelly Pawlak.

Second place - Informative Speaking, Libby Correll; Prose Reading, Marquila Young
Third place - Extemporaneous Speaking, Marley Wiest; Humorous Duet Acting, Julian Williams and Will Jarman.
