Shepard, Stagg Cheerleading Advance to Final Round of State

Cheerleading squads from two Palos schools are moving on to the final round of competition at State, after landing first-round scores in the top 10 of their division.

Stagg and Shepard finished the prelims with an 87.13 and an 87.10 respectively, placing them in seventh and eighth, in their 25-team Coed division. They’ll advance to the next round of IHSA Coed Division State Championships Saturday, February 7.

Shepard will perform at 3:05 p.m.; Stagg will take the floor at 3:55 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door, and are $10 for both children and adults.
