'Smash and Grab' Burglary at Palos Heights Gas Station

Palos Heights police are investigating an overnight ‘smash and grab’ burglary at a gas station in Palos Heights.

Officers were called to the Mobil station at Rte. 83 and Ridgeland Avenue Friday, after an employee arrived to open the store and found the front door glass had been broken and items inside had been disturbed, said Detective Sergeant Mikel Yott. It appears that someone entered through the broken front door and targeted cigarettes.

The subject attempted to get in the cash register but was unsuccessful.
