Sports Mural Competition Seeking Entries

Public Arts Commission of Palos Hights is calling on all artists – from amateur to profesional to create a sports-themed wall on the public works building.

The mural will overlook the community park and pool. The winning artist will will $2000.

The mural will include five 8 foot by 16 foot panels. The themes include baseball, swimming, biking, soccer and others.

Digital submissions are due on Dec. 31. Mailed submissions must be received at the City of Palos Heights the same day.

The winner will be notified Feb. 1, 2015. The art installation is schedule for next spring-summer season.
