Students of St. Patricia channeled their artistic sides and participated in the 2018 "Keep Christ in Christmas" Poster and Essay Contest. The Knights of Columbus sponsors the contest each year and it is open to all young people between the ages of 5 and 14. This year's theme was "Remember it's CHRISTmas." The winners of the poster contest are Fareed Alkhader and Blessie Cuta. The Catholic Citizenship essay winner is Anna Sako. We are very proud of our student's hard work, congratulations!

Independence Junior High School

The Board of Education of Palos Heights School District 128 will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Independence Jr. High, 6610 W. Highland Dr., Palos Heights, IL 60463. The purpose of said hearing will be to receive public comment on the renewal of the current E-Learning program, which, if approved, will continue to permit students’ instruction to be received electronically while students are not physically present in lieu of the district’s scheduled emergency days. This program is allowed under Public Act 101-0012. If approved, the E-Learning program will be implemented for a three-year term.
