“Together with input from Erin Wendt and Brian Dennis’ Freshman Advisory class and student and staff members of the Student Intervention Team Councils, Stagg has developed a series of activities to celebrate “Say Something Week” and empower Chargers to be advocates for their own safety and that of their classmates and staff,” said Head Dean Mary Pat Carr.

Monday, 10/19: During Advisory, all students and staff will watch a student lead video that explains the history and goals of “SSW.” The video includes a 2 minute YouTube clip that is very impactful, but may be difficult for some to watch. Student planners were very clear that this video’s impact will be strong and beneficial for the entire Stagg community, but we recommend giving kids a heads up about it first.
Tuesday, 10/20: All students and staff will receive a green “Say Something” bracelet in their First Period class to wear as a reminder to “Say Something” if they ever see, hear or read something concerning. The Sandy Hook Foundation donated 1,000 bracelets to the school.
