Stagg Senior Mantas Commits to Play College Volleyball

Stagg High School senior Lexi Mantas signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at Kent State University on a full-ride scholarship.

Lexi is a four-year starter on the Stagg varsity volleyball team, as well as a four-year stat leader. As a junior and senior, Lexi made the all-tournament team for nearly all eight tournaments the team participated in. She leads in kills in the area. She also made the SWSC All Conference team as a sophomore, junior and senior. Lexi was part of the SouthtownStar All Area team as a junior and is waiting the 2014 team announcement. Lexi also tied the school ace record this season with 11.

“Lexi is a standout player on any team she is part of,” said coach Deanna Storino. “Her level of skill is a dominant force on offense, as well as defense. She has also played on the 16-1 and 17-1 team at First Alliance Volleyball Club.
