State Lawmakers Offer 'Silver Beat' Crime Seminar, Dec. 9

A FREE seminar to teach seniors how to protect themselves from identify theft, scam artists and fraudulent businesses.

There’s nothing worse for a reporter than to come across a police report in which a senior has let a stranger into their home, or wired thousands of dollars to bail a grandchild out of jail or to claim a prize in a fictitious contest.

Your heart aches for that senior citizen, as well as their adult children who must straighten out the mess.

Coming up on Dec. 9, your local state lawmakers -- Sen. Bill Cunningham (18th), Rep. Fran Hurley (35th) and Rep. Kelly Burke (36th) -- will host a FREE “Senior Silver Seminar” designed to help seniors from not becoming a crime victim.
