Summer Is Almost Here, Register For Palos Hills Summer Camp

PALOS HILLS, IL — The Palos Hills Resource and Recreation Department will be offering summer day camp beginning June 6. A full day option for kids entering kindergarten through seventh grade, and a part-time tot camp for 3- and 4-year-olds are being offered.

Spend the day participating in a variety of events. Each day will be filled with something different to do, including games, crafts, sports, theme days and more. Campers will participate in a special event each session. Field trips are planned, as well as an end-of-summer bash.

Camp will be held at the Palos Hills Community Center, 8455 W. 103rd St.

Session 1 - June 6 through June 17 ($225 R/$235 NR)
Session 2 - June 20 through July 1($202 R/$222 NR)
Session 3 - June 5 through July 15 ($180 R/$190 NR)
Session 4 - July 18 through July 29 ($225 R/$235 NR)
Session 5 - August 1 through August 5 ($112 R/$132 NR)

The cost for the whole summer is $792 for residents, $837 for non-residents. Kids entering kindergarten in the fall are eligible for camp. Each session will take a maximum of 50 campers. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Due to the Illinois gubernatorial primary on June 28 and the community center being used as a polling place, the program will only be able to take a maximum of 30 campers, requiring separate registration. Camp will also not be in session July 4 and July 11.

Tot camp is for children ages 3 and 4. The camp is taught by the Palos Hills Resource and Recreation Department playschool teachers who have years of experience in the preschool setting. Tot camp runs in the morning only, from 9 to 11 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Children play, make crafts, listen to stories and play with friends.

Session 1 June 6 - July 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. ($174 R/$184 NR)
Session 2 July 12 - Aug. 4, 9 to 11 a.m. ($128 R/$138 NR)

Kids still in preschool in the fall are eligible for this camp; those kids entering kindergarten in the fall should register for full day camp. Tot camp fills quickly.
