Teammates, families surprise Shepard state qualifiers
Callahan, Milkus, Washington head to state XC finals
Today, teammates, coaches, and the marching band from Shepard High School surprised Kelli Callahan, Paul Milkus, and Caleb Washington before they left for the IHSA state cross country finals.
Each junior already has produced great achievement: Callahan twice has won the South Suburban Conference championship; Milkus has qualified for state in two different sports; and, Washington became just the second Shepard runner ever to qualify for the IHSA state finals in back-to-back seasons.
