Terri Dodds New Assistant Director of Students Services in Palos 118

Terri Dodds, an administrator in Palos School District 118, has been promoted to Assistant Director of Student Services starting in the 2024-25 school year.

In her new position, Mrs. Dodds will be assisting in the management of the Student Services Department which identifies and provides supports to students with unique individual learning needs. She will also assist in the management of the District’s At-Risk Preschool program and special education evaluation process.

Mrs. Dodds first joined District 118 in 2002 as a special education teacher before accepting a promotion to assistant principal at Palos East Elementary in 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education from Valparaiso University and a Master of Education degree in Education Leadership with an endorsement in General Administration from St. Francis University.

“After 22 years at Palos East, I am excited to work with staff, students and families across the district to help ensure high levels of instruction and support that support all student learning needs,” said Mrs. Dodds.

“Terri will be a real asset to the Student Services Department as our district continues to expand programming and supports for our most vulnerable students,” said Palos School District 118 Superintendent of Schools Dr. Anthony Scarsella.

“During her time as an administrator here in District 118, she has taken on a number of leadership roles giving her the experience and skills necessary to excel in this new position.”
