'Text The Chief' Option Offered In Palos Park
Palos Park police have offered residents another way of communication.

PALOS PARK, IL — Residents of Palos Park now have direct access to their leaders of the police department. The Palos Park Police Department has introduced the "Text the Police Chief Project," in which residents can text a question or message to the police chief at 708-259-1035. The chief of the Palos Park Police Department is Joe Miller.
“The Palos Park Police Department is a technologically innovative agency, committed to ensuring Palos Park's exceptional quality of life and we are always looking for ways to partner with our citizens, striving to ensure satisfaction,” Police Commissioner Dan Polk said.
"We work with citizens, community groups, and other government entities through a systematic and community-oriented process to prevent and mitigate crime through focused law enforcement and problem-solving."

The new project is the newest way Palos Park police have reached out to the residents of the village to offer a way of communication. The department has a vibrant presence on social media and often hosts "Coffee with a Cop" events.
