PALOS PARK, IL — Flood has closed a section of Route 83 in Palos Park late Thursday evening due to heavy rain. High water may still affect the road on Friday, so be prepared to plan an alternative route if you need to go somewhere in the morning.

Route 83 is closed between 8000 and 8600 west. Please use caution and never drive through high standing water.
