Traffic Stop Nets 5,000 Grams Of Pot, Joliet Man Charged: Cops

A Joliet man is charged with a Class X felony for manufacture with intent to deliver cannabis of more than 5,000 grams.

PALOS HILLS, IL — A Joliet man was arrested after officers said they found a felonious amount of cannabis in his vehicle.

Palos Hills police stopped a vehicle Saturday in the 7700 block of 111th Street. After searching the vehicle, officers found 5,000 grams of cannabis, reports said.

Rafat A. Hasan Subhi, 41, is facing a Class X felony manufacture with intent to deliver cannabis more than 5,000 grams. Subhi was also charged with driving on a revoked driver's license and other traffic offenses.

He was transferred to the Leighton Criminal Courts Building for a pretrial hearing Sunday.
