PALOS HEIGHTS, IL -- Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights landed among the top ten nursing programs in Illinois. The college was ranked number two out of 78 accredited nursing programs in the by RegisteredNursing.org on its third annual RN program rankings.

The rankings are based on student pass rates on the NCLEX-RN exam, which is used by all state boards of nursing across the United States to help assess a student's competency and is required for licensure. NCLEX-RN pass rates are used by many state boards to approve a school’s ability to provide a nursing education.

The nursing advocacy organization analyzed NCLEX-RN pass rates going back to the most recent years of data available up to five years. School pass rates were averaged together and weighted by recency of the exam. For example, exam pass rates in 2018 count more towards overall rankings than scores from 2014.

Trinity Christian College’s bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program earned a score of 98.84 out of a possible 100, landing just two points behind the number one ranked MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL. According to RegisteredNursing.org:
