PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — The Windy City ThunderBolts have tapped the Trinity Christian College Athletic Program as one of the four non-profit organizations that will be represented at the 2023 skills competition Tuesday, July 11 when Ozinga Field hosts the Frontier All-Star game in Crestwood.

The skills competition will feature four teams of five Frontier League all-stars each, competing against one another in a variety of baseball skills, including hitting, bunting, throwing and home run hitting. Each of the five-man teams will be representing a non-profit organization. The overall winning team’s designated non-profit organization will receive a $2,000 donation. There will be further donations given out to the NPOs of individual contest winners.

Trinity Trolls Athletics has been selected to be one of the four non-profits taking part in the skills competition. Each of the five all-star players on one of the four teams will be wearing special jerseys that feature the Trinity Christian logo. The private Christian college in Palos Heights offers students the opportunity to take part in a rounded liberal arts education that equips them to build a life that matters. Students get both the small college benefit of focused attention on their questions and passions combined with the opportunities of proximity to a big city.

The money raised through the skills competition will benefit the Trinity Christian athletic department. The Trolls compete in 14 intercollegiate sports and this year. They've won the Five Star Institution Gold Award from the NAIA for promoting the five core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

The Frontier League Skills Competition begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, at Ozinga Field, 14011 S. Kenton Ave., Crestwood After the event, fans are invited onto the field to play catch and get autographs from all of the Frontier League all-stars. The All-Star game will be played the next evening on July 12.
