Vehicle Found Running In Roadway Stolen In Armed Car Jacking
Vehicle found empty and running in Palos Park roadway had been reported stolen in armed car jacking in Chicago, police said.

PALOS PARK, IL — A vehicle reported stolen in Chicago was left running in the middle of the roadway in Palos Park, police said. An officer on patrol spotted the vehicle around 2 a.m. Feb. 17 near 80th Avenue and 123rd Street.
The vehicle was determined to be taken in an armed carjacking just before midnight in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Palos Park officers searched area on foot for suspects or other vehicles without success.
“We can assume thee offender or offenders were in thee area looking for other victims, vehicles or other crimes of opportunity,” said Chief Joe Miller, of the Palos Park Police Department.
