Village Of Worth Placed Under 24-Hour Boil Order
Worth is under a 24-hour boil order after a water main break early Saturday morning.
WORTH, IL—A massive water main break in Worth has put the village under a 24-hour boil order, causing the water system to be shut down so repairs could be made.
The village has submitted a water sample for bacteriological testing and is waiting for confirmation that the water is safe for drinking.
The boil advisory will remain in effect for the next 24 hours Worth residents should boil water from the tap for at least five minutes before using it for cooking, drinking, food preparation, washing dishes or brushing teeth.
