Beloved Wife of the Late Robert H. Thomas Sr. Dear Mother of Robert (Jeanine) Thomas Jr., Gayle (Danny) Herron & James (Sandy) Thomas & and the Late Glen M. Thomas. Grandmother of Jake (Carolyn) Herron, Justin (Stephanie) Herron, Brianna Herron, Melissa (Travis) Fish, Derek ( Heather ) Thomas, Holly (Jacob) Schroeder, Kyle ( Kathleen) Thomas & Michael ( Jennifer) Thomas. Great Grandmother of Austin, Isaac, Abby, Amber, Jake Jr., Vinny, Danny, Jayce, Noah, Benjamín, Maddie, Andrew, Will, Jason & Stephanie. Daughter of the Late Mary (nee Cook) and John Skurka Preceded in death by brother Clem Skurka, Sister Irene, Marie, Cecilia, Agnes and Betty.

After high school Violet attended modeling school in New York City, she then worked at the Pentagon in Washington, DC She meet her husband, Robert Hull Thomas at the Trianon Ballroom in Chicago. They were marred and had 4 Children. They resided in Palos Heights since 1952. She and her husband were the owners of Thomas Appliances and Furniture on 52nd and Halsted in Chicago, and later relocated to Chicago Ridge where Violet worked until the building was sold in 2014.

PHASE 4 COVID 19 REGULATIONS; Visitors MUST wear a mask when attending the visitation, loitering is NOT allowed in order to accommodate all guests paying their respects to the family, and the funeral home kitchen is closed to food and refreshments.

Visitation Thursday, Sept. 10th from 11:00 am until time of Chapel Service 2:00 pm. at the Kerry Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights.

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
