Warm Weather Brings Rash of Street Racing

Palos Hills cops bust four drivers in separate incidents for drag racing, reports say.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- Palos Hills police arrested drivers in two separate street incidents, including a 16-year-old juvenile, according to police reports. The drivers are all facing street racing raps, as well as multiple traffic violations. Police said the drivers were racing down Roberts Road and 76th Avenue.

Around 7 a.m. May 7, officers curbed two drivers who were allegedly racing each other in the 11000 block of Roberts Road, reports said. Paul Vivirito, 25, of Palos Hills, was cited for not having a front license plate and failure to notify the Illinois Secretary of State of an address change. Analizbeth Munoz, 23, of Chicago, was also charged with failure to notify the Secretary of State of an address charge, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Both are due in court May 31 in Bridgeview.

Marcin Kruzel, 20, of Justice and a 16-year-old male juvenile were spotted racing in the 10200 block of 76th Avenue, reports said. Both were cited for reckless driving, driving without insurance, driving with a defective windshield, tinted windows, not having a front license plate, illegal screeching of tires, a loud muffler. Kurzel is due in court May 31 in Bridgeview.
