Watch the Lake Katherine Waterfall Turn Green for St. Patrick's Day
Stop by and watch the green flow on March 17.
It will be a magical scene at Lake Katherine on March 17 as the waterfall is dyed green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
Children are invited to dress up in green and line the banks of the waterfall as the waters flow from clear to emerald at noon and 4pm. The dye used is biodegradable so does not affect either the wildlife or surrounding habitat.
Afterwards there will be the opportunity to sip green river floats and even sign up for a fun ‘Erin Go Bragh’ craft project at4.15pm.
Marian Sinkus, children’s educator at the non-profit park, will supervise a group of children from kindergarten to grade 5 in a 45-minute program as they make a special ‘paddy day’ project to take home.
The ‘Erin Go Braugh’ program cost $5 per child and pre-registration is required at the Nature Center quoting program #464.
