Why is this North Palos School Board election so important?

You have probably seen more information regarding the upcoming April 4th North Palos School Board election than you have seen in past school board elections. This election is unique with 5 of the 7 school board seats on the April 4th ballot and the school board members that you elect on April 4th will select our next superintendent. Dr. Jeannie Stachowiak has announced that she will be retiring at the end of next school year. We need to ensure that the school board has the experience and qualifications needed to select a new superintendent that will continue to lead our schools in academic excellence, reflect our community's values, is fiscally responsible and supports our property tax relief efforts.

We also understand that it is often hard to get information on the qualifications and viewpoints of school board candidates.
