Witek's Bakery Packs Paczki with 9 Flavors Of Middle

PALOS HILLS, IL — It’s time to roll out the paczki because Fat Tuesday is right around the corner, which this year falls on February 21 (February 16 for the Orthodox Church).

Witek’s Bakery, 8807 W 95th St., Palos Hills, is taking pre-orders for Feb. 16 and Feb. 21. Boasting the best traditional Polish paczki (pronounced ponch-key) in the south suburbs, Witek’s paczki comes in glossy sugar gage, powdered sugar and doughy plain.

It’s all about the middle, and Witek’s offers nine flavors: raspberry, strawberry, rose, prune, apricot, custard, custard with chocolate glaze, blueberry, eggnog, and plain. A dozen costs $23.88, a half-dozen is $11.94.
