Woman Removed Kicking and Spitting At Worth Police: Cops

Prosecutors said the Chicago woman battled Worth police as she was being arrested on a domestic battery charge.

WORTH, IL — A Chicago woman currently admitted to a hospital is accused of kicking and spitting police officers during an arrest. A Worth police officer was in court seeking a bond for Christina Guanajuato, 27. She has been charged with four felony counts of aggravated battery.

On Aug. 28, Worth police were investigating a report of domestic battery in the 6500 block of West 111th Street. As officers were assisting Guanajuato to a police vehicle, she kicked an officer in the shin as she was being walked down some stairs, the officer said in court.

As Guanajuato was being loaded into a police squad car, she allegedly kicked an officer in the knee, who wrestled Guanajuato to the ground. Paramedics arrived after Guanajuato expressed suicidal ideations, the officer said. While strapped to a gurney, the officer told that judge that Guanajuato started spitting at police officers and paramedics.
