Worth Man Charged With 10 Counts Of Child Porn Possession

PALOS HILLS, IL -- An elderly man was arrested after police found child pornography in his residence, according to a Palos Hills police report. Melvin Paape, 70, of Worth was charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography.

Detectives executed a search warrant on May 17 where they found child pornography, police said. Paape had apparently been the target of an investigation by the Palos Hills police and the IInternet Crimes Against Children task force. Paape is on electronic monitoring via the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. His next court appearance is June 14 in Bridgeview.
