XBox Sale in Parking Lot Ends In Armed Robbery

PALOS HILLS, IL — A juvenile was arrested after he was identified as a participant in an armed robbery during an Xbox transaction in a residential parking lot, Palos Hills police said.

The seller and buyer arranged the sale of an Xbox gaming console via text on Jan. 18. The parties agreed to meet in a parking lot in the 10000 block of 86th Terrace.

While the seller was waiting, three men showed up. One of them indicated he was carrying a gun, police said. They grabbed the gaming console and started walking back to their vehicle. The seller followed them to their car, when one of the group pointed a gun at him, police said.

A juvenile was identified as a participant by Palos Hills police and surrounding police departments. The youth was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery.
