• Park Ridge's Hinkley Park to soon get drop-off zone (chicagotribune.com) — Parents dropping kids at Hinkley Park will soon have a safer, dedicated drop-off lane along Busse Highway after Park Ridge alderpersons unanimously backed a temporary loading zone through Thanksgiving. The change converts several parking spaces into a 120-foot no-parking, loading-only area during summer and fall evenings, responding to a recent rear-end crash and resident concerns about cars stopping in traffic lanes.    

• ICE to stop reporting deaths of newly released detainees, internal memo says (adn.com) — A recent ICE policy change means the agency will no longer report deaths of immigrants who die within 30 days after being released from custody, limiting disclosures to deaths in detention.
