• Man, 22, Credits Family Dog With Helping Him Through Rare Cancer Battle (patch.com) — A young cancer survivor recently rang the remission bell at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, celebrating the end of intensive treatment that often kept him away from his beloved dog. The Gurnee resident credits his family's Labrador, Peanut, and the support of hospital therapy dogs in Park Ridge with helping him cope with fear, isolation, and a long recovery. His next goal is joining family walks with Peanut again.
   

• Figure skating-Stellato-Dudek to represent U.S. again, teams up with Siianytsia (kfgo.com) — A world champion figure skater who was born in Park Ridge is switching back to represent the United States and forming a new pairs partnership ahead of the next Olympic cycle. Now 43, she'll train in Colorado Springs with her new partner as they aim for the 2027 U.S. Championships, adding another notable chapter to the career of a Park Ridge native.
