Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group’s Schaumburg and Park Ridge agents, in conjunction with the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation, worked to beautify two Little City Foundation homes during the company’s annual Week of Kindness. During KoenigRubloff’s company-wide Week of Kindness, close to 500 Realtors® from 24 offices organized events to volunteer time and services to organizations in their respective communities.

Last month, the brokers in the Schaumburg office held their annual Bowling for Charity fundraiser. The event, raised $4,500 for the beautification projects planned for the Week of Kindness. Volunteers from the Schaumburg and Park Ridge offices, performed summer clean up, trimming trees and shrubs, doing light landscaping and planting flowers at two Little City Foundation group homes to make them pretty for the summer.

Little City Foundation works to ensure that people with intellectual and development disabilities are provided with the best options and opportunities to live safely, work productively, explore creatively and learn continuously throughout their lifetime. The Schaumburg and Park Ridge offices have a long history of working with and supporting Little City.

Suzette Brien, Managing Broker of the Schaumburg and Park Ridge offices, expressed pride at her team’s contribution to Little City. “Our offices have unofficially adopted Little City as our partner, and it’s heart-warming to see how involved my team is in their activities throughout the year.” She continued, “The Bowling for Charity event and silent auction was attended by more than 75 people. It’s always a fun way to raise funds and really gets the ball rolling for our beautification projects. Seeing everyone chip in to make these group homes summer-ready is really special and means so much to the residents themselves.”
