"Blarney Bash" Success Turns the City Green (Benefit for The Center of Concern)

The Center of Concern held its annual March fund-raiser, the Blarney Bash, at an Irish pub in Chicago on March 8.  Over 250 friends and supporters attended the event at Chief O’Neill’s, 3471 N. Elston Avenue, raising over $15,000 for The Center, which is based in Park Ridge.

The Shannon Rovers kicked off the night, providing the Irish music that has made them a favorite for 87 years.  Chicago Reel followed, paying homage to great Irish musicians with a contemporary drive that left guests dancing well into the night.  The Identity Irish Dance Company, a group formed at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign by alumni from Chicago-area schools of Irish dance, also performed.
