1st Scar-free Gallbladder Surgery a Success at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital

Park Ridge, IL- Joubin Khorsand, MD and John McKenzie, MD have successfully completed the first single site robotic surgery procedure for gallbladder removal in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.  The surgery, which took less than an hour, is performed using the DaVinci Si Robotic Surgery System.  Using just one incision into the belly button, the gallbladder can be removed without any permanent scarring.
