District 64’s Emerson Jazz Band Scores “Hat Trick” at Wolves Hockey
Student musicians to play for hockey fans
The Jazz Band from Emerson Middle School of Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 will score a “hat trick” with its third annual pre-game concert for the Chicago Wolves Hockey team. The students will perform on Saturday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m., prior to the 7:00 p.m. puck drop at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont when the Wolves will face off against the Milwaukee Admirals.
Emerson Jazz Band students include: flute – Emily Bugai (grade 7), Allison Paxhia (grade 6) and Ashley Jianu (grade 7); clarinet – Danny Connolly (grade 8); alto sax – Joey Hands, Katie Boyce and Robbie Skoronski (all grade 8) and Thalia Koupas (grade 7); tenor sax – Steven Richter (grade 8) and Margaret Edsey (grade 6); bari sax – Johnny Maltese-Miller (grade 8); trumpet – Joey Maltese-Miller, Kara Swanson, Sydney Richter and Brandon Jelke (all grade 8), Sam Mathew (grade 7), Patrick Talbot (grade 6), and Matt Spiewak and Everett Ebling (both grade 7); trombone – Christo Fosse (grade 7) and Owen Kopka (grade 6); tuba – Nick Levy (grade 7); piano – Melannie Kavanaugh (grade 7), Olivia Conklin (grade 8) and Jack Dombro (grade 6); bass guitar – Fin O’Driscoll (grade 7); drum set – Julia Borrelli (grade 8) and Jacob Lenzini (grade 7); and percussion – Alyssa Tamvakis (grade 8).
