A ton of bricks fell off a truck and onto the Kennedy Expressway overnight, at about 2 a.m., on Chicago’s Near West Side near Lake Street, scattering across two northbound lanes. Crews were called in to clear the debris, according to the Illinois State Police, which took more than two hours.
