Sustainable Yards Walk and Bike Ride
Rain or Shine!
Join us for a peek at 5 different yards in Park Ridge that take sustainability seriously! From new gardens to well established yards there is something for everyone to see. Highlights include rain gardens, native plants in shade and sun, vegetable gardens, backyard composting and more.
Educational signage and docents will be available to help answer questions. We hope everyone will take away one idea of how to “green up” their yard.
A bike ride is being organized to see the yards. More info and a map of the yards will be on Go Green Park Ridge’s website a few days before the event.
We will be offering a drawing for a free compost bin and a Teegen Compost Service in the winner’s yard.
